A trail less travelled

R.M. Williams Company was founded in 1932 by Australian legend Reginald Murray Williams, R.M. Williams. While looking for work––and a good pair of boots––R.M. met a colourful outback character by the name of George Michael Smith, aka Dollar Mick, who taught R.M. leather craft. Before long R.M. was turning out handmade boots crafted of a single piece of leather, with only one smooth seam, the same way R.M. Williams does it today. Each boot lovingly hand-held through 68 precision steps.
